Altars are a sacred space that can be mobile but it is possible to have a dedicated space in your home as well. It can be as big or small as you would like to make it.

Since the beginning of time, altars have existed in many cultures. It was a place in nature usually somewhere like in a cave, tree, or animal that a spirit may inhabit. Essentially, a place to pray or create ritual around. Many cultures build one to a god or deities they are connected with or an ancestor.

In this workshop, you will create your own altar. Jean will do an 9-minute journey encouraging you to meet your spirit guide and retrieve a soul song … everyone can relax and cover their eyes while Jean drums.

1HR Workshop / $15 Recommended Donation (Limit: 20 spots)

Material list:

  • something to cover your eyes with
  • a cloth you connect with to create a space for your altar
  • a candle
  • 4 objects that hold power for you
  • sage or Palo Santo or incense
  • a deck of goddess, angel or tarot cards (optional)
  • flowers you love — let them have some good petals and leaves
  • herbs like mint, thyme, parsley
  • chocolate, food, anything to feed the spirits
